Oregon 40V Max Trimmer Chainsaw Pole Saw Preview
We’re excited to see the Outdoor Power Equipment sector of the industry grow. As battery packs have gone from humble beginnings to now 36 volts and beyond, companies like Oregon are leading the way in keeping our property maintenance tools cordless while helping us ditch the gas cans. The Oregon 40V Max lineup is expanding with a second generation trimmer/edger and all new Oregon 40V pole saw. These tools are joining Oregon’s 40V Max chainsaw and hedge trimmer as a complete property maintenance family of battery operated tools. In addition to the new tools, 4.0 amp hour batteries are now being offered, improving power and run time.
The ST-275 Trimmer/Edger is Oregon’s second generation of the tool. Available as a tool only, 2.4 amp hour battery kit, or 4.0 amp hour battery kit, the tool features a dual line, bump feed system making trimming efficient and quick. Simply flip the ST-275’s edger guide down for a precise line edger. The battery operation offers noise levels that are up to 4 times quieter than gas, and of course, there’s no gas/oil mixture to worry about. The kit includes either a 2.4 or 4.0 amp hour battery. They each weight 2.7 pounds and take 2 hours to go through a full charge cycle.
