Stihl BGA 100 Cordless Handheld Blower

Stihl BGA 100 Cordless Handheld Blower

Stihl BGA 100 Blower Offers High Performance, Low Noise, and Light Weight

At just 5.5 lbs and 56 dB(A), the Stihl BGA 100 Cordless Handheld Blower boasts the lightest and quietest in its class of outdoor power equipment. A lot of pro landscapers will be looking to see how it actually performs with this combination of noise rating and performance specs. The blower is part of Stihl’s Battery Kinombi System – no gas, no cord and no exhaust emissions.

One of the many advantages of the Stihl BGA 100 Cordless Handheld Blower is in its engineering. The design works around a jet engine-inspired axial turbine fan to deliver more blowing force and perform better than many gasoline-powered models. Instead of an on-board battery, the Stihl BGA 100 uses a battery belt or AR backpack battery, transferring the weight to the users shoulders or hips. This really sets it apart as having a pro focus. Homeowners that need to blow off the driveway after mowing just want to pop a battery in the unit and go. Professionals are used to supporting the weight more efficiently and will be more accepting of this kind of set up.

“Quiet operation means greater flexibility on the job. The BGA 100 allows for earlier start times as well as the ability to do work around commercial buildings during business hours without disturbing the workplace.”

– Stephen Meriam, director of sales at STIHL Inc.

The new cordless handheld blower from Stihl features a variable speed throttle trigger with three working performance levels – low, medium, and high. It also offers a boost mode that activates the higher power, generates air speeds of up to 140 mph and volume up to 447 cfm. The rear-mounted air intake feature allows blower to be used right or left-handed without blocking it.

“You’re going to see more and more cordless OPE show up as noise restrictions grow. It’s getting bigger overseas and the trend will make it here before long. What’s really exciting about the Stihl BGA 100 Cordless Blower is the level of performance they’re getting out of it while maintaining low noise levels.”
