Mean Green and the Kobi Company Team Up To Mow Large Spaces Robotically
Labor in the landscape field has become harder to come by, but the demand for landscaping services has only gone up. Mean Green Mowers has seen a need in the market for accurate, versatile, and affordable large area mowers. And, if you know anything about Mean Green, you know that they specialize in cordless electric mowing that’s environmentally friendly. So, it shouldn’t be too out-of-left-field to find that a few Mean Green Autonomous Mower models will debut at this upcoming GIE+Expo in Louisville, KY.
Green Industry Team-Ups
Mean Green isn’t the first manufacturer to come up with an autonomous mower. But they believe there has been a gap in the market regarding a safe and accurate solution to mowing large areas robotically. So, they teamed up with the Kobi Company, a leader in robotic solutions, to develop a safe and affordable autonomous zero-turn mower.

Safety, accuracy, and cost savings were all at the forefront of the design process. By using the latest in computer vision technology and artificial intelligence, Mean Green and Kobi have developed a system that can navigate any environment. Mowing under trees and close against walls has become possible.

How affordable? Mean Green estimates that a typical landscape crew of two workers can be reduced down to one to get the same amount, or more, of work done in a day. Between the fuel and maintenance savings and the labor cost savings, Mean Green puts the savings between $20-$30 per hour.
Check Them Out At GIE
Mean Green will debut this autonomous mower tech at GIE this year with two different models on display. Between October 16-18, anyone in attendance has the opportunity to learn more in person. At booth 11080, inside the convention, you can see the 74″ EVO concept autonomous mower. However, for a live demonstration, you can catch the Mean Green team in the outdoor demo area (#6014D) showing off the 48″ NXR autonomous mower. These demonstrations are scheduled for October 17th and 18th, at 10 am and 2 pm.
