The GIE Expo never fails to bring out the crowds for the largest Green Industry show in the U.S. This year seemed to be bigger than ever, however, these are only our guestimations and not certified results. From under the Excel Industries corporation, we saw new Hustler products at GIE Expo, and it wasn’t just a new zero turn.

If you were to pick a segment that Hustler fits best, it will be in their zero-turn. The Super Z has long been many professionals go-to zero-turn mower. While the Super Z is definitely in the Pro category, Hustler also has new prosumer and consumer level mowers available.

Hustler Raptor SDX
The new Hustler Raptor SDX is hitting the prosumer market. This SDX version of the Raptor is available in a 48″, 54″, or 60″ cut. They’re powered by the Kawasaki FR691 or FR730 series engines that are either 23hp or 24hp. Rear tires include the exclusive 22″ big-bite to ensure the best traction, even on wet ground.
With the Raptor SDX, you get a 10-gauge fabricated deck and a 3/8″ x 1″ steel bar around impact areas. A 3-gallon fuel tank provides the means to cut up to 3-acres, and the Hustler SmoothTrak steering ensures you have precise control while mowing.

Hustler Dash – Homeowner’s One-Acre Wonder
We took a look at the Hustler Super 104 which, as it’s namesake implies, has a 104-inch deck. Being the largest zero-turn mower that Hustler makes, this unit really covers the ground. Well, the Dash, is on the other side of this spectrum, as it’s intended use is for yards smaller than 1-acre.
Even though it comes in a small package, the Hustler Dash still includes some great features. The Dash includes a 1×2 tubular steel frame which provides much more strength than typical C-channel. Power is provided by the Briggs & Stratton 344cc 10.5 hp engine.

Final Thoughts – New Hustler Products at GIE Expo 2018
We’re excited to see the Hustler brand expanding into the residential market with the new Dash zero-turn and one or two of the new pressure washers. The Raptor SDX offers a great product for that in-between user or the consumer that is looking for more a professional-featured zero-turn mower. Finally, the Hustler MDV is there to carry the load, 750-lbs worth, while lowering the bed to load/unload as well.
