Let Petra Be Your Rock

The Petra Backpack Sprayer provides a solution where you’ll never have to pump up your sprayer again. The HD4000 sprayer uses and 8.0Ah lead-acid battery to keep the sprayer tank pumped up and ready to work. Petra tells us that you’ll get 6-8 hours of spray time (which works out to over 200 gallons of solution) per charge. The battery charges in around 8 hours using the included AC charger. Even if you happen to use it up in a single day (unlikely), you can plug it in overnight and get back to work the next day.

This backpack sprayer features adjustable PSI so you can control your spray volume. It also includes a variety of nozzle attachments. A secondary lid with onboard storage lets you store those extra nozzle attachments.

The tank that comes with the HD4000 is translucent with gallon markings. This way you can mix your solutions in the tank as well as keep aware of how much liquid remains in the tank.

The Petra Backpack Sprayer tank also features a wide mouth lid that allows for easy filling. A screen filter keeps debris out of the tank, protecting the pump.

A Note on Acids

Should part of your job description revolve around spraying acids, Petra includes the HD Acid Bleach Wand. This features a plastic squeeze handle with a locking mechanism.

The Petra Backpack Sprayer comes with a high-pressure spray hose and adjustable padded shoulder straps to keep you comfortable and productive.

Petra Sprayer vs Milwaukee Switch Tank

Of course, this isn’t the first battery-powered backpack sprayer to hit the market. Milwaukee’s M18 Fuel Switch Tank Backpack Sprayer has also carved out its place in the OPE market. Both systems feature 4-gallon tanks and both weigh around 15-16 pounds.

The Milwaukee Switch Tank features a versatile tank swapping system that you can customize for your particular spraying applications, be it construction, pesticide, fertilizer, or something else. It also runs on Milwaukee’s M18 battery platform. Though the kit comes with a 3.0Ah battery, you can opt to upgrade to a 12.0Ah HC battery if you’d like.

Undoubtedly, Milwaukee’s Switch Tank system is more versatile and refined. However, the Petra HD4000 has one really big thing going for it: it will only set you back $199. The Milwaukee option, on the other hand, starts at $399 for the 3.0Ah kit.

For users who don’t need the kind of versatility that Milwaukee offers, the Petra HD4000 presents a capable and more-affordable option.

Pricing

The Made-in-the-USA Petra HD4000 Backpack Sprayer retails for $199 . It comes with a 1-year warranty, but Petra also wants your 100% satisfaction. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, etc., feel free to hit them up at 1-800-613-6889.
