Talking Points

The main talking point about the Billy Goat Landscape Auger revolves around its one-man operation. Every point of the drilling process can be tackled without any help, from loading to set up to actual drilling.

Take load in/load out. Rather than towing, the AGR1300H is compact enough to fit into a 6 ft. truck bed without having to remove the drill bit. The bit actually folds forward and locks away for transport. With a ramp, you can drive the auger on and off the truck.

The Billy Goat AGR1300H features a 390cc Honda GVX engine that produces 13 gross HP and 350 ft-lbs of torque. Combined with a 10 GPM pump, the motor package can handle drill bits between 2 in. to 18 in. It also features dedicated drive to self-propel the auger in both forward and reverse. Further minimizing user fatigue, the Billy Goat includes 18 in. rear wheels and 11 in. pivoting front casters.

Finally, the AGR1300H features Billy Goat’s unique Z-Link. Rather than arcing down while drilling and needing constant repositioning to create a plumb hole, the Z-Link assembly lets you drill straight down without having to reposition the drill bit or auger. Two 150-lb gas struts assist in pulling the bit from the hole as well, and a pivoting head lets you drill on hills and uneven terrain.
