Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro Lawn Tractor

Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro

Cub Cadet released its first lawn tractor in 1961. Since then, the manufacturer has garnered a reputation for quality and innovation, particularly in the residential market. To be sure, their current fleet is quite extensive, and we’re here to help you narrow it down. If you’re looking for the top lawn tractor among them, we recommend the Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro (LT50), which made our Best Riding Lawn Mowers list.

Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro Features

Although the Enduro is a bit pricier than others in the XT1 line, there are upgrades. For instance, this tractor is an 11-gauge steel version for enhanced long-term durability. That’s in comparison to the alternative 13-guage iteration.

Under the hood is a 725cc twin-cylinder Kohler that puts out 24 hp. In terms of the Cub Cadet’s transmission, you have no shifting with the XT1 Enduro. It comes with a hydrostatic setup that allows you to essentially toggle between forward and reverse with the press of a pedal.

When it comes to caring for your equipment, remember that spring preparations start in the fall. So, check out our guide on How to Winterize Any Motor or Engine and ensure that your gear stays happy and reliable year-round.

LT50 Specs

  • Model: XT1 Enduro LT50
  • Engine: 712cc Kohler
  • 24 hp
  • Deck size: 50 inches
  • Steel: 11 gauge
  • Cutting capability: 2 to 4 acres

As an aside, we prefer the hydrostatic models because they provide the fluid maneuverability that you find with zero-turn mowers. And while they obliviously don’t possess the turn radius of a ZT, they do enable you to negotiate tight spots like the round base of a shrub or tree.

However, that said, the Enduro models do have a comparatively tight turn radius at 16 inches.

Concerning design, we’ll again start under the hood. This lawn tractor comes equipped with an AGM battery that should deliver a longer lifespan and lower maintenance than comparable lead acid, wet units.

Moreover, Cub Cadet tells us that it will give you improved starting performance.

Now, as we mentioned above, the steel on the Enduro is thicker than it is on its siblings in the XT1 line. What’s more, Cub Cadet has outfitted this lawn tractor with a heavy-duty AeroForce deck designed to minimize clumps and provide finer clippings.

Cruise control and attachment compatibility are among the other standout features.

Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro Price

The LT50 retails for $2899.99. It comes with a 3-year no-hour limit warranty, 5-year frame warranty and lifetime limited fabricated deck shell warranty.
