Husqvarna K 535i Battery Power Cutter

Husqvarna K 535i Makes Perfect Cordless Quick Cuts on Lighter Hardscaping Jobs

At the last GIE+Expo, Husqvarna showed off their cordless solution for lighter-duty landscaping and hardscaping cutting. The Husqvarna K 535i Power Cutter couples low vibration and a solid power-to-weight ratio to make cutting through concrete garden plates, granite, and tile quick and efficient. Plus, it does it with the kind of convenience that only comes from battery power, running on the brand’s 36V batteries.

  • Built-in water kit
  • Excellent balance with centered blade placement
  • 7.7 lbs bare

Taking a Closer Look at the K 535i

Let’s start with the cordlessness of the new Husqvarna power cutter. The K 535i uses BLi200/300 36V batteries—the same ones that you use for their battery blowers, chainsaws, and more. The batteries are side-fed into the K535i to reduce the buildup of dust and slurry around the electrical components. This placement also helps to keep the battery cool during use.

Another impressive feature of the new Husqvarna power cutter revolves around how much vibration there isn’t. In addition to no gas engine vibration, they’ve added cushioned, ergonomic handles to help reduce fatigue and minimize the vibration.

Additionally, the K 535i uses a 9″ blade that’s optimized for faster cutting speeds with lower harmonic vibration. The end result is 2.1 m/s² vibration at the front handle and 2.5 m/s² at the rear. Of course, the 7.7 lb weight of the tool doesn’t hurt with comfortability, either.

Balance is solid as well. The blade is centered on the tool so it’s not leaning to one side or the other while you carry or cut.

The Husqvarna K 535i power cutter features a brushless motor for better efficiency as well as more torque. An electric blade brake increases the overall safety of the tool, slowing the blade down from full throttle to zero in just over 3 seconds. It even features a rope eyelet for when you need to tether it.
