Exmark Commercial 30, New and Improved

The Exmark Commercial 30 X-Series looks like a new and improved version of the original Commercial 30 mower released back in 2013. So, where are the improvements?

Starting with the engine itself, Exmark has upgraded the engine to a Kohler Command Pro CV200. This has an increased displacement that gives it 30% more torque than its closest competitor. This engine also includes cast iron cylinder liners, dual splash and pressurized lubrication, and Quad-Clean air filtration for better protection against dust and other contaminants. Cast aluminum oil and filter bases and a steel blower housing enhance the mower’s durability. Kohler includes a 3-year commercial warranty on the engine as well.

But, the heavy-duty wet clutch transmission also comes upgraded on the new Exmark Commercial 30 mower. With increased wheel torque comes more power to drive up and across hills. It has a positive drive design that couples both of the drive wheels, increasing the traction. This mower has a variable ground speed up to 3.8 mph, It also includes a self-tensioning belt drive to minimize maintenance. A parking brake keeps everything secure.

Cutting Performance

The Exmark Commercial 30 X-Series mower comes with a 4.6″ deep, 30″ cutting deck that still remains maneuverable, thanks to its compact design. A 3-in-1 design offers you the ability to quickly and toollessly transition between mulching, bagging, and side-discharge options.

It also features a timed two-blade cutting system. A simple timing belt system maintains the blade positions and isolates the engine from shock load. Each blade driver has a shear pin that provides additional impact protection; rather than damaging the mower itself, impacts will cause the shear pin to snap instead, at which point, they can be easily replaced. The heavy-duty spindle assemblies feature robust ball bearings, forged spindles, and die-cast housings for better durability and less maintenance.

Exmark also offers a mulch kit for the Commercial 30 X-Series, which optimizes performance for those trying conditions, such as wet grass.

What Does Exmark Have to Say?

“With 40-percent more cut area per pass than the industry-standard 21-inch walk-behind mower, our Commercial 30 quickly found favor with landscape contractors looking to get jobs done faster without sacrificing cut quality. The new Commercial 30 X-Series takes that proven formula to the next level with Kohler’s premier single-cylinder commercial engine – the Command Pro CV200, along with a powerful transmission, for increased performance and durability.”

Exmark Commercial V-Series Mower

Exmark V-Series Electric Zero Turn

Not long ago, choosing battery-powered gear usually meant settling for a tradeoff between power and runtime. But not so much anymore. Indeed, in many cases, cordless equipment now matches and even surpasses gas-fueled solutions in overall performance. Perhaps more noteworthy is that this applies not only to smaller handheld equipment but also to large commercial […]
