Mean Green Fury Compact Stand-On Mower

Mean Green Fury stand-on mower

Mean Green Mowers, a division of Generac, announced a new compact stand-on mower, the Mean Green Fury (Model FUR36S110). It’s big news, as it’s unlike most stand-on models.

Designed for commercial usage, this sibling stand-on to the full-sized Vanquish allows access to areas where larger commercial-sized stand-on mowers can’t fit. Generac emphasizes that the Mean Green Fury has the same commercial-grade quality as their larger stand-on mowers.

The Big Deal – A Narrower Stand-on Mower for Better Access

Do you have to tackle gated yards and similar properties where obstacles are aplenty? No problem, according to Generac. The Mean Green Fury will get you through because of its 32- or 36-inch mowing deck widths. How about mowing between trees and fences? That shouldn’t be difficult either.

And even though it has a comparatively narrow cutting width, it does yield the equivalent of a solid 24 hp. Furthermore, a 4-inch display screen monitors battery charge level, machine operation status, hour meter, and service notifications.

Mean Green Fury Stand-on Mower Key Features

The compact Mean Green Fury Stand-on mower might have a narrower deck, but it manages to provide impressive features. First, you get a 9 mph maximum mowing speed—perfect for a mower designed for tackling smaller areas and spaces. You can configure the 32- or 36-inch mowing deck for side or rear discharge mulching.

Mean Green utilizes an 11kWh battery that they claim matches the performance of a 24HP engine. The smaller battery makes sense for a mower designed for getting into tighter spaces. It runs for an estimated 7 hours on a single charge. That’s a full day of operation for most crews. Recharging takes around 5 hours. For comparison, their full-size Vanquish stand-on mower series includes options for a 14.5kWh or 22kWh battery.

Small gateways, tight spaces and narrow pathways are quick and easy to navigate thanks to the compact Mean Green Fury, one of the narrowest battery-powered, stand-on mowers available in the market.

Mean Green Fury Price

Mean Green has various pricing on their regular stand-on mowers and pricing falls around the $20,000 and up range. We don’t yet have pricing on this compact model but anticipate it to cost slightly less since it carries similar features to their larger mowers but features a smaller battery.

Contact Mean Green Mowers for a quote. Lastly, the Mean Green Fury is backed by a 5-year (1500 hr) commercial battery warranty.

The Bottom Line

We like seeing manufacturers expand their offerings, and the Mean Green Fury presents a solid addition to their stand-on lineup. It definitely seems to offer a product that should let landscapers complete their fleets and even eliminate the need for most push mowing.

Where some manufacturers are just starting to get into the battery-powered mower market, Mean Green is propping up their line with additional models designed for specific functions. Having gotten into the battery-powered mower market early, the company seems motivated to continue innovating.
