Milwaukee Gloves Offer Protection to the Backs of Your Hands Too

The International Safety Equipment Association has updated the standard for job site hand protection, and Milwaukee has responded with the Impact Resistant Gloves. This deep line of gloves comes equipped with back-of-finger and back-of-hand protection, meeting the ANSI/ISEA 138 rules for impact protection.

Why is Back-of-the-Hand Protection Important?

Back-of-hand injuries are some of the most common hand injuries on the jobsite, so this [ANSI/ISEA 138] standard was created to establish new performance requirements for hand protection that is designed to protect the knuckles and fingers from injury. As jobsite safety is emphasized across the nation, it is crucial for users to have hand protection that is equipped with back-of-hand protection when working with heavy materials and equipment.

What’s Available?

Milwaukee Impact Resistant gloves come in three basic flavors: Impact Demolition gloves, Impact Cut Level Goatskin gloves, and Impact Cut Level Nitrile Dipped gloves. In addition to full-hand protection, they each offer different levels of protection and mobility for various job site applications. All of them come in sizes ranging from Small to XXL.

Milwaukee improved on the design of their original Demolition Gloves with an Armortex reinforced padded palm. These gloves also incorporate a breathable, lightweight back, as well as a hook-and-loop closure.

For users who prefer leather, the Milwaukee Impact Resistant Gloves come in an impact- and cut-resistant goatskin. These gloves offer two different levels of protection from cuts and abrasions: ANSI cut level 3 and cut level 5. Made from soft top-grain goatskin leather, these gloves offer a reinforced palm, a keystone thumb, and a gunn cut.

Milwaukee Impact Resistant Gloves also include the Impact Cut Level Nitrile Dipped gloves. These gloves let you retain dexterity while offering both cut level 3 and cut level 5 options.
