One Million Spray Guns Recalled Due to Injury Hazard
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, one million Greenworks and Powerworks Pressure Washer spray guns have been recalled. The spray gun connector can break, which causes the hose and parts of the connector to become dislodged during use, posing an impact injury hazard to the operator. The CPSC advises all consumers to stop using these recalled spray guns immediately.
This recall involves the Greenworks 2000 psi plastic pressure washer spray gun. This spray gun was included in a variety of Greenworks and Powerworks pressure washer models. These were sold nationwide and online at Lowe’s, Amazon, and other retailers between January 2017 and February 2021. The plastic gun accessory kit retailed for around $40 and the affected pressure washers were sold for between $100 and $180.
On these recalled spray guns, the interior connector is made from plastic rather than metal.

To date, Hongkong Sun Rise has received 15 reports of the spray gun connector breaking, with 13 reports of injury. Of those 13 reports, 7 required medical attention.
