Ryobi Heads Its Spring OPE Lineup With 40V 20-Inch Self-Propelled Mower

Ryobi’s lawn mower lineup is extensive, to say the least. They offer tons of variety for the homeowner and Prosumer markets, and now the brand is introducing a new mower to head its spring OPE roster. We’re looking at the Ryobi 40V 20-inch Multi-Blade Lawn Mower to see what it brings to the table as far as performance and design.

Ryobi 40V 20-inch Multi-Blade Lawn Mower Performance

Ryobi 40V 20-inch Multi-Blade Lawn Mower
  • Model: Ryobi RY401260VNM
  • Self-propelled rear-wheel drive
  • Up to 52 minutes of continuous runtime
  • Cross-Cut multi-blade system

As a 20-inch mower, Ryobi tells us that the RY401260VNM is ideal for lawns 1/2 acre in size or less. Its brushless motor and 40V technology give this mower gas performance without the hassle and maintenance of gas mowers.

Like Ryobi’s RY401150 mower , which we tested back in 2021, the RY401260VNM mower features a self-propelled rear-wheel drive. We’re excited to get our hands on this one closer to its spring 2023 release to see how it compares.

Ryobi 40V 20-inch Multi-Blade Lawn Mower Design Notes

  • 7-position single-point height adjustment
  • 3-in-1 grass disposal: bagging, mulching, and side discharge
  • Easy-lift bag removal
  • Handles fold for compact verticle storage

This mower gives you 7 cutting height positions, with heights from 1 1/2 inches to 4 inches, so we expect that it will perform well no matter the grass type. Ryobi keeps with the 3-in-1 grass disposal method, so you can choose if you want to bag, mulch, or use the side discharge chute to distribute clippings back into your yard.
