Ryobi Eliminates Ice Runs with the Hybrid Electric Cooler
Battery power is enormous in the world of OPE, and because of that, manufacturers are always looking for new ways to use it. On that note, recreational products aren’t a bad idea. That’s what Ryobi thought when they came up with the Ryobi Battery-Powered Cooler.
Let’s look at what this product has over its ice-toting ancestors.
Ryobi Battery-Powered Cooler Performance
- Set temperatures from -4°F to 68°F
- Three power options: 18V battery, 120V AC adapter, or 12V car charger
- Up to 23 continuous hours of runtime using two 9.0Ah batteries
- Holds up to (40) 12oz cans with a 24-quart capacity
Over are the days of bags heavy with ice. And you may have needed several or more to fill your cooler(s).
Now, your storage items don’t need to share an inch of space with the cold cubes. In fact, the Ryobi One+ Hybrid Cooler isn’t really a cooler at all. It’s a portable fridge.
Interestingly, this unit’s hybrid design provides you with three different power options: an 18V Ryobi battery, a 120V AC adapter, or a 12V car charger. In other words, so long as you have any of these three sources in play, you’ll always have a cold one on hand, minus a chest full of ice.
You can set the cooler’s temperature from -4°F to 68°F, giving you the option to either freeze or refrigerate your contents.
Using two 9.0Ah batteries, the PI1824QBT cooler gets up to 23 continuous hours of runtime–to put that in perspective, that’s essentially a full day of operation. If you use an AC or 12V outlet, you’ve basically got a small kitchen fridge on wheels.
As for storage capacity, the inside of the cooler can hold up to 24 quarts or forty 12oz cans.
