EGO LM2114 Push Mower

EGO LM2114 Push Mower

In this day and age, people put a lot of emphasis on self-propelled drive systems. Yes, they are nice, but they’re not essential. Especially if you have a level lawn, push mowers are generally fine and lower in price. What’s more, they’re not too far off from their self-propelled siblings. Take, for instance, the EGO LM2114 Push Mower. This 21-inch battery-powered model is basically the same setup as the self-propelled LM2114SP, however, it’s $100 cheaper. Both carry reasonable price tags given the quality of EGO equipment. But, as Ben Franklin wisely pointed out, when you save a penny, you earn a penny.

So, let’s take a look at this push mower and see if it’s the model you’ve been searching for.

EGO LM2114 Push Mower

First, powering this mower is a brushless motor and a 56V (6.0Ah) battery.

Now, here’s what this tool has. Basically, you take the LM2114SP, remove the self-propelled drive system, and, voilà, you get the EGO LM2114 push mower.

Specs

For example, this model shares the same 6 foot-pounds of torque. Moreover, the 6.0Ah battery can run up to 55 minutes with less than a 1-hour charge time. When all’s said and done, EGO tells us that the LM2114 push mower should cut as much as a half acre.

gator blade

Also, this is the only model EGO that specifically mentions coming with an advanced Gator blade. Indeed, the Gator mulching mower blades feature the patented Gator mulching teeth. These edges circulate cut grass back into the deck multiple times, thus slicing and dicing the bits.

If you’re not already aware, mulching mowers create a natural compost that helps fertilize your lawn. We like that.

EGO LM2114 Push Mower Design

There are a few features that EGO added to enhance both versatility and convenience.

For one, the LM2114 has 3-in-1 capability, so you’ll be able to bag, mulch, or use the side-discharge chute. As we mentioned above, unless you’re making a compost pile, we suggest you go with the second option.

And speaking of seconds, we also like that EGO gave the LM2114 push mower 7-position height adjustment. This allows for plenty of choices within the 1.25- to 4-inch range.

EGO 21-Inch Push Mower Price

The EGO LM2114 Push Mower usually sells for $449 and comes with a 2-bushel grass collection bag and a 5-year limited warranty.
