When it comes to commercial gear, Exmark is at the top of the list. In a comparatively short time (est. 1982), the brand has become a go-to source of zero-turns, and they’re doing pretty well with their push models, too. That includes the battery-powered Exmark Commercial 30 V-Series mower.
We saw this model at Equip Expo 2023, and it has some features that are worth mentioning. Foremost among them is the fact that this is a battery-powered model from a brand that’s traditionally gas-centric. So, the million-dollar question is whether this is the right model for you. To help you decide, here’s a look at what it’s got.
Exmark Commercial V-Series Mower
This mower has a few facets that may turn some heads. Let’s start with Exmark’s 60V power system.
This thing is Pro in just about every way. It runs on three 7.5Ah batteries that deliver a respectable runtime. We’re talking about nearly an hour and a half per charge, which should allow you to cut over an acre.
And that’s all well and good, but, at this point, our attention turned to downtime. As a commercial unit, the 30-inch V-Series mower uses Exmark’s rapid charger. We were impressed to hear that it’s capable of charging the batteries to 90 percent in 90 minutes.
Specs

- Deck: 30 in

Something else that you’ll be looking for in a Pro model like this one is the cutting width. At 30 inches, we’re confident that you’ll see efficient performance. That’s particularly the case considering that it’s capable of speeds up to 4.2 MPH and has a 15.4-inch blade that spins at 3,600 RPMs.
Finally, in terms of cutting heights, you’ve got a standard range of 1 to 4.5 inches that you can adjust in half-inch increments.

On the design side of things, this mower has all the benefits of battery power. It’s quiet, it doesn’t make you stink, and, perhaps, most importantly, its push-button start sidesteps the dreaded pull cord.

Furthermore, when you buy the commercial V-Series mower, Exmark throws in a 2.5-bushel bag, a mulch kit, and a side discharge chute.
Lastly, this model uses the same welded steel cutting deck, wet clutch transmission, and self-tensioning belt drive as its X-Series gas-powered counterpart.
