One of the best things about attending various media events throughout the year is getting to see some of our friends from the industry – employees of the manufacturers and guys like Dan and Eric from Tools in Action . The fact is, we have a great time and having friends around makes the down time a lot more fun. At Milwaukee’s New Product Symposium and in Portland at Keen Utility’s Media Tour , Dan has been telling me non-stop about how in love he is with the Ventrac 4500Z Compact Tractor.
What’s so special about this particular tractor?
Plenty.
It all starts with the Kubota engine. The model WG972-GL puts out 32.5 horsepower and is ready to handle both gasoline and propane. An optional propane kit is all you need to make the switch to the cleaner fuel source. As a point of pride, the 4500Z’s Kubota engine carries the highest peak engine torque in Ventrac’s lineup.
All Ventrac tractors come standard with all wheel drive to handle whatever terrain your property has to throw at it. The frame is articulating and oscillating. This gives it agility and lightens the footprint compared to standard frame tractors.
Optional features include 3 different tires, a horn (but no police light bar or siren – sorry David C. Smith), and a digital slope gauge. Ventrac has more than 30 available attachments for the 4500Z to help you be productive whether you’re maintaining your personal property of someone else’s as a professional.
One of the reasons Dan and Eric are so high on Ventrac comes down to their patriotic roots. The Ventrac 4500Z along with its brethren are built in Orrvile, Ohio. That’s right – great tractors built in the United States.
