The new Caterpillar UTV Diesel and Gas UTV line will be available in the 2018 Summer. CAT teamed with Textron to build the new CUV82 and CUV102D UTVs. The CUV82 is a 3-cylinder gas engine, with 50hp and 45mph top speed. Th CUV102D is a 3-cylinder diesel engine, building just 25hp and just 25mph top speed.
Towing and haul capacity of these machines are pretty impressive. The rear cargo capacity is 1,000 lbs and towing capacity is a full ton (2,000 lbs.). In case you need a refresher, 1,000 pounds of cargo is what your 1/2-ton (1500, F150, etc) pickup is rated for.

Our Thoughts
The UTV market is growing extensively, especially over the past couple years. The CAT logo on any vehicle always seems to create excitement, and it will do so with the UTV lineup as well. The hauling and towing capacity is pretty impressive, and we like the option for the gas CUV82 or diesel CUV102D. We are interested to see where the MSRP will land, as well as where the new Caterpillar UTV lines will be sold. Hopefully, in the coming months, we’ll be able to try one out and give you a full shakedown review.
