Toro 60V Blower Clears Leaves In a Snap

Toro has released a new line of cordless lawn tools that run on the brand’s 60V Max battery platform. The new lineup includes mowers and trimmers, and now we can add the Toro 60V Blower to the mix. The 51820 puts 605 CFM at your fingertips, allowing you to clear leaves, brush, and debris from your yard quickly and cordlessly.

10-Second Summary

  • Model Number: 51820
  • Air Volume: 605 CFM
  • Air Speed: 115 MPH
  • Brushless Motor
  • Comes With L135 60V Max battery; 2.5 Ah, 135 Watt-hours
  • Also available as a bare tool (51820T)
  • MSRP: $199

What’s the Big Deal?

The Big Deal with the Toro 60V Blower really comes down to CFM. You might remember some time ago we ran our Cordless Blower Shootout. Our best showing, at that time, fell below the 600 CFM mark. Of course, that was almost two years ago, and things have improved since then. Case in point, the Toro 60V blower tops out at 605 CFM. It doesn’t necessarily impress with a 115 mph airspeed, even by standards that were set a couple of years ago, but the air pressure it generates is pretty good.

It also features a variable speed trigger and turbo boost button. This is important for runtime; if you don’t need all the available power all the time, you can run this blower for up to 90 minutes on the low setting but still have that extra juice for when you’ve got some stubborn leaf piles.
