What’s the Big Deal?

The biggest talking point revolves around Lastec’s 120-inch flex cutting deck. The company claims that this is the largest zero turn mower on the market, and while we haven’t done the market research to confirm that claim, it does seem like a 120-inch deck would at least rank among the biggest. Assuming a 10% overlap, an average speed of 8 mph, and no stops, the Lastec 120-Inch Flex Deck ZT Mower can tackle 8.73 acres per hour.

But covering a lot of ground quickly isn’t always the most important factor for a lot of Pros; cut quality counts for at least as much. For Pros that need to work around a lot of ground contours, the Lastec WZ1000’s deck consists of five independently-flexing 25-inch high-lift decks. This gives you a total up-and-down flex of 24° for a premium cut quality across the entire width of the cut, even on the most challenging contours and valleys. The deck can fold up to a 94-inch width for transport.

A turbocharged, 49.6 Hp Kubota diesel motor powers the Lastec WZ1000 mower to a top speed of 10 mph. It has a 17-gal fuel capacity, and because it features Lastec’s proprietary belt-driven decks, it uses 50% less fuel when compared to hydraulically-driven rotary mowers.

The Lastec 120-Inch Flex Deck ZT Mower starts at $45,900. For more information about the Lastec WZ1000, or any of the brand’s other flex deck mowers, check out the Lastec website by clicking here .
