Notable Features

Toro Commercial V-Twin Engine

The MX5075 uses Toro’s 708cc Commercial V-Twin Engine, designed specifically for optimal performance in their mowers. They’ve matched the torque curve of the engine to the needs of the mowing decks they power. The intelligent design and tight tolerances help the governor to respond faster with 24.5 hp.

IronForged Cutting System

Toro wanted to create a powerful mower that works even in the tough conditions, so they’ve used what they call their IronForge Cutting System in the MX5075. Essentially, what this means is that they’ve gone with a fabricated 10-gauge steel deck and commercial-style 6″ cast blade spindles for increased strength and durability. They’ve also included a bull-nose bumper to keep the deck protected.

SmartSpeed Control

Toro’s SmartSpeed control system allows you to choose between three ground speed settings for optimal performance. You can use the Trim setting for your low-speed, detail cuts, and your high-speed Mow setting for wide open spaces. Use the medium-speed Tow setting for using mower attachments. Incidentally, a tow hitch kit comes standard on all Toro TimeCutter mowers.

MyRide Suspension

Comfort is key with the MX5075, so Toro included the MyRide suspension system. This allows you to customize the level of shock absorption by providing a 4-point adjustment on the rear shocks.

Additionally, this mower includes large, 20″ 4-ply rear tires, a vibration-dampening floor mat, a suspended operator platform, and an 18″ padded seat for a smoother, more comfortable ride.

Pricing

The 50″ MX5075 Toro TimeCutter retails for $4,399. It carries a 3-Year/300-Hour commercial engine warranty. Is this a mower for Pros? Toro seems to be marketing it as such, and at its pricepoint and with its engine warranty, we can see it as falling into that Prosumer/entry-level Pro category.
