Stihl Recalls Pressure Washers Due to Disconnecting Nozzle

For those of you working with the Stihl RE 90 Pressure Washer, the company has issued a product recall on account of a faulty spray wand. Users should stop using the pressure washer immediately as the problem presents an injury hazard.

Stihl has issued the recall on over 16,000 units. The problem is that the pressure washer nozzle can disconnect from the spray wand when under the pressure that comes with regular use, which poses an obvious risk. If you own one, you can contact Stihl directly , or contact an authorized Stihl servicing dealer to receive a free replacement spray wand.

The Stihl RE 90 Pressure Washer was originally sold from authorized Stihl dealerships between May 2019 and October 2019 for around $180. The pressure washer is gray and orange with the model number printed on the front. The recalled spray wands have round pins and no notches holding the wands in place, while the replacement wands have square pins and notches.
