Like every one of the Worx Turbine Leaf Blowers, the WG521 uses an inline turbine to efficiently generate its air power. The axial fan design that pulls air directly from the back of the unit, forcing it through the hyper-stream nozzle to intensify the air stream. The end result is a blower that generates up to 800 CFM with velocities up to 135 mph.

While 135 MPH should be enough to get most jobs done, stickier wet leaves might take a little extra time.

For more of a versatile approach to yard chores, the Worx Turbine Leaf Blowers include a 3-in-1 Trivac model that blows, vacuums, and mulches your leaves.

This tool uses a Worx articulating 12-amp motor with an axial fan and air siphon design. It lets you “twist” the motor to convert from blowing to vacuuming and mulching. You don’t even need any tools to make the switch. Then, you just attach the 1.4-bushel collection bag and you’re good to go.

All of the Trivac’s work is done using a single wide-mouth tube that should easily fit under decks and between shrubs and fence lines. The tube provides a good circumference for vacuuming. Normally, that would decrease overall power, but the Trivac still generates up to 600 CFM.

The Worx Turbine Trivac Leaf Blowers feature a single-stage metal impeller to shred leaves and twigs down by a 16:1 ratio. That’s important as we’ve seen a lot of “mulching” blowers with plastic/nylon impellers. The metal impeller alone should make this a great tool for composting.

Forgoing power cords altogether, the Worx 40V Power Share Turbine Blower runs on two of the Worx 20V batteries. The batteries run in series to provide 40V (36V nominal) power to the blower.

This is actually the first cordless blower we’re aware of in the Worx lineup to feature a brushless motor. The benefits of this are more power, less noise, and less heat build up and friction.

This 40V cordless Worx Turbine Leaf Blower features an axial fan that pulls air directly into it, forcing it out through the large-diameter blower tube. It generates a maximum air volume of 430 CFM. It also has four different speed settings: 55, 65, 75, and 90 mph (Turbo). These numbers fall far below what we’d call “impressive”, but for basic yard work you can’t go wrong at this price.
