The Worx OPE line continues to expand with three Turbine Leaf Blowers that present a little something for everyone. The 12A Turbine Blower covers the basics for those who want to stick with corded power. For those wanting a more versatile approach to yard chores, the 3-in-1 Trivac offers some multi-functionality. Finally, cordless enthusiasts will want to take a look at the 40V Power Share Turbine Blower.

WORX 12 Amp Turbine 800 Blower

10-Second Summary

  • Model: Worx WG521
  • 12-amp motor
  • Variable speed control
  • 420-800 CFM
  • 70-135 MPH
  • Turbine fan technology
  • Dynamic airflow
  • Hyper-Stream air nozzle
  • Cord retainer
  • 3-year warranty
  • Price: $69.99

The Worx Turbine 800 Blower features a 12-amp brushless motor to make it the most powerful electric blower Worx current has in its Turbine Leaf Blowers lineup. It should move grass clippings, leaves, dirt, and other debris around the yard in record time and eliminate the need for rakes and brooms.

Worx Turbine Leaf Blowers

Like every one of the Worx Turbine Leaf Blowers, the WG521 uses an inline turbine to efficiently generate its air power. The axial fan design that pulls air directly from the back of the unit, forcing it through the hyper-stream nozzle to intensify the air stream. The end result is a blower that generates up to 800 CFM with velocities up to 135 mph.

While 135 MPH should be enough to get most jobs done, stickier wet leaves might take a little extra time.

A variable speed control lets you throttle back the power output as needed—but let’s face it…you’re corded, so most folks will let ‘er rip! The WG521 also includes a cord retainer to eliminate some of the hassles that come with dragging around a cord.

For more of a versatile approach to yard chores, the Worx Turbine Leaf Blowers include a 3-in-1 Trivac model that blows, vacuums, and mulches your leaves.

Worx Turbine Leaf Blowers

This tool uses a Worx articulating 12-amp motor with an axial fan and air siphon design. It lets you “twist” the motor to convert from blowing to vacuuming and mulching. You don’t even need any tools to make the switch. Then, you just attach the 1.4-bushel collection bag and you’re good to go.

All of the Trivac’s work is done using a single wide-mouth tube that should easily fit under decks and between shrubs and fence lines. The tube provides a good circumference for vacuuming. Normally, that would decrease overall power, but the Trivac still generates up to 600 CFM.

The Worx Turbine Trivac Leaf Blowers feature a single-stage metal impeller to shred leaves and twigs down by a 16:1 ratio. That’s important as we’ve seen a lot of “mulching” blowers with plastic/nylon impellers. The metal impeller alone should make this a great tool for composting.

The Trivac weighs 8.8 lbs. in blower mode. In vac mode, adding the weight of the collection bag only brings the total up to 9.6 lbs.

Forgoing power cords altogether, the Worx 40V Power Share Turbine Blower runs on two of the Worx 20V batteries. The batteries run in series to provide 40V (36V nominal) power to the blower.

Worx Turbine Leaf Blowers

This is actually the first cordless blower we’re aware of in the Worx lineup to feature a brushless motor. The benefits of this are more power, less noise, and less heat build up and friction.

This 40V cordless Worx Turbine Leaf Blower features an axial fan that pulls air directly into it, forcing it out through the large-diameter blower tube. It generates a maximum air volume of 430 CFM. It also has four different speed settings: 55, 65, 75, and 90 mph (Turbo). These numbers fall far below what we’d call “impressive”, but for basic yard work you can’t go wrong at this price.

Worx WG584 Pricing

As yes, the price. You can pick up the Worx 40V Power Share Turbine Leaf Blower, kitted with two 2.0Ah batteries and a dual-port charger, for just $149.
