Key Features

The major talking points surrounding this saw revolve around its power and weight. Echo claims that, generating 13% more power than its predecessor, the CS-7310P has become the most powerful saw that the company offers. It features a 73.5 cc 2-stroke commercial-grade engine, and it can run between a 20″ – 32″ bar and chain to handle your bigger sawing projects.

But, despite all of this added muscle, the Echo CS-7310P only weighs in at 14.9 lbs. (without the bar and chain). This is a full 2 lbs. lighter than the previous edition of the brand’s 70cc model chainsaw. This is undoubtedly due, at least in part, to the lightweight magnesium crankcase and aluminum handle.

Echo has added some “quality of life” features to make using the X-Series CS-7310P Chainsaw more convenient and comfortable. For easier start-up, Echo has included a decompression valve, digital ignition system, and a choke with automatic fast idle.

The Echo CS-7310P Chainsaw features a 4-stage air filtration system that uses a pleated air filter to ensure a steady flow of clean air to the carburetor. This results in a longer air filter life.

Also, this X-Series chainsaw features an automatic and adjustable clutch-driven bar oiler. This oiler only operates only when the chain is moving, reducing your oil consumption while keeping your bar adequately lubed up.

With a saw this big and powerful, it’s also helpful that Echo fitted it with a 3-point spring vibration reduction system to keep your arms feeling less fatigued.

The Echo CS-7310P Chainsaw also features a winter operation plug to optimize engine performance depending on the season you’re working in. This plug has two positions: one for the winter cold and one for normal operations.
