John Deere Z700 Series ZTs

John Deere z700 series

Immediately recognizable for its iconic green, John Deere is a household name. That’s particularly the case regarding heavy farm equipment and lawn tractors. (We should know, considering that we have a few of each sitting around). But, as well-known as the manufacturer may be, it isn’t the first name that comes to mind in the zero-turn world. Even so, we think its Z models are worth writing about. Therefore, we’re training our sights on the John Deere Z700 Series ZTrak residential mowers in this article.

John Deere Z700 Series Performance

First, here’s a little background.

These mowers give residential consumers a commercial-like machine at a more reasonable price. Ideal for large-property owners, the Z700 Series mowers cut at up to 10 mph with decks as wide as 60 inches.

Both of these numbers are rather impressive. Typically, we see ZTs in this class within that speed range and deck size. So, while these models may not crush the competition, they’re more or less keeping up with them. (See, for instance, the Husqvarna Xcite Z380).

Furthermore, there is what you could accurately describe as a fleet of Z700 zero-turns to choose from.

  • Z735E (60-inch)

Indeed, we really like the numerous options. This series gives you quite a bit to choose from.

For example, nearly every John Deere Z700 Series model offers choices like 48-, 54-, or 60-inch mowing decks. Moreover, the high-capacity pro mower decks are 9-gauge steel and have welded reinforcements. And Deere gives you a three-position foot platform with tool-free adjustments.

Given the number of variations, we think it’s helpful to lay them out for you:

Stihl RZ 760i Zero-Turn Review

In the world of outdoor power equipment, Stihl is an icon–no argument about it. Yet, that doesn’t mean they’ve done it all. Even a company […]

Exmark V-Series Electric Zero Turn

Not long ago, choosing battery-powered gear usually meant settling for a tradeoff between power and runtime. But not so much anymore. Indeed, in many cases, cordless equipment now matches and even surpasses gas-fueled solutions in overall performance.
