We were able to attend this year’s Green Industry and Equipment Expo (GIE Expo) , and Caterpillar was one of the many outdoor power equipment exhibitors. Our team enjoyed checking out these new Caterpillar work tools, attachments, and vehicles. For our readers, here’s a rundown of the Caterpillar machines and tools exhibited at the event.

Hand and Foot Controls
Caterpillar now offers hand and foot controls on Cat Skid Steer, Multi Terrain, and Compact Track Loader models. The new controls feature a single-axis joysticks that provide the fore/aft movement that operators are used to, plus a shorter joystick travel for increased operator comfort.
Cat Hand and Foot Controls will be available as an option for Skid Steer Loaders (226D, 232D, 236D, 242D, 246D and 262D); Multi Terrain Loaders (257D, 277D and 287D); and Compact Track Loaders (239D, 249D, 259D, 279D and 289D). You can visit the Cat Hand and Foot Controls page for more information.
New Cat Snow Tools
The Cat 102″ Material Handling Bucket (2591) is ideal for removing snow from roadways, parking lots and sidewalks. Not just for winter, the bucket can also be useful year round. And the Straight Snow Push attachment is ideal for snow removal contractors clearing large parking lots, roads, and other paved surfaces.
The Cat Bucket (2591) and Straight Snow Push attachments convert a Cat Skid Steer, Compact Track, Multi Terrain, Compact Wheel, Backhoe and Small Wheel Loaders into a clearing powerhouse—regardless of the season.
New Cat Flow C Mulching Heads
Two new mulching heads provide increased versatility and performance in various land management applications. The Standard and High Flow C Series Mulching Heads (HM115) are designed for cutting and mulching of vegetation, saplings and undergrowth from overgrown agricultural areas and forested terrain.
The new High Flow C Series Mulching Head (HM418C) provides many of the same features as the standard series but is now 72″ wide and there are now three new tooth offerings which brings the total number of options to five. New Cat M Series Compact Wheel Loaders (906M, 907M, and 908M)
These models feature Optimized Z-bar loader linkage, 75-gross horsepower engine with an electronically controlled hydrostatic drive system, Electro-Hydraulic controls, and a range of work tools and couplers are available. In addition, the M Series features Cat C3.3B engine, Cat Hystat system that can achieve up to a 22mph (35 kph) top speed, plus Deluxe cab that features – two side-entry doors, low-effort electro-hydraulic joystick, suspended pedals, tilt steering wheel, air-suspended and heated seat and optional security keypad.
The new M Series loaders are available with two coupler options, a Skid Steer Loader style coupler (compatible with most skid steer loader work tools), as well as the Cat coupler, designed to work with a full range of Cat buckets, optimized pallet forks and certain competitive attachments.

New Cat F2 Series Backhoe Loaders
The new F2 Series Cat Backhoe Loaders includes the 416F2, 420F2, 430F2, and a model new to the range, the 415F2. All new F2 Series models feature powerful hydraulic system, pilot-operated joystick controls with in-cab pattern changers – standard on 420F2 and 430F2, and optional on 415F2 and 416F2 – and all models feature redesigned hose routing for extendable sticks. Also, F2 Series can be equipped with auxiliary hydraulics.

New Cat E2 Series Mini Hydraulic Excavators
The new compact radius Cat E2 Series Mini Hydraulic Excavators—303.5E2, 304E2, 305E2, 305.5E2, and 308E2, get new high definition hydraulic system, new cab and new source facility. All E2 Series models feature digital control panel — the monitor are anti-theft system, requires password to start the machine, automatic engine -ide selection, and an adjustable auxiliary-flow control for work tools.
