Be One of Our Pro Landscaping Tool Reviewers

Do You Have What it Takes to be One of Our Pro Landscaping Tool Reviewers?

Now’s Your Chance to Join the Industry’s Fastest Growing Site

OPE Reviews is growing—and we’re looking for a few good men (or women)! In order to keep up with all of the latest and greatest tools hitting the market, we’re doing a “casting call” for landscape professionals and heavy equipment operators who can write about power tools, hand tools, mowers, and more. In short, we’d like to invite some professional landscaping tool reviewers to join our team.

Interested? Here’s how you can apply:

Step 1: Read ALL of These Instructions

Read through all of the instructions so that we know you can follow directions—and so that you submit your application to us in full. We anticipate a lot of interest in becoming one of our professional tool reviewers, and so we don’t want to waste your time or ours.

Step 2: Write a Review of One of YOUR Tools

Choose ONE of your own tools—preferably something newer, but an older tool is fine if that’s all you have. It can be a hand tool, a zero turn mower, a chainsaw, or even a front-end loader!

Then, write your review of that tool. Keep in mind to touch upon the following:

  • Build Quality
  • Features
  • How it performs in a professional environment—or from a professional’s perspective
  • How it compares to other similar tools you have used

Try not to review a tool for which you have no experience—our reviewers need to understand tools and how they work so that they can give advice and recommendations to other Pros like themselves.

If you want an example of some great tool reviews, see the review of the Echo SRM 280T String Trimmer or the John Deere Zero Turn Mower Review from our site.

Step 3: Take Some Tool Photos

Take some photos of your tool, and include it with your review. Try to highlight the features of the tool which you discuss in your review, and be sure to show it in action—doing whatever it does best. Resize your photos, if possible, down to 800 pixels along the longest side to keep the file sizes manageable.

Step 4: Send Us Your Review!

You can send us your review in Microsoft Word (.doc), rich text (.rtf), or Open Document (.odt) format. Email your review and photos (less than 5MB total please!) to reviews -AT- opereviews.com or send us a Dropbox link to them. If possible, send the photos separate from the review rather than embedding them.

Then, we’ll take a look at your review and get back to you if we think you’ve got what it takes to be a Pro reviewer.

Good luck!
