Features

Those of you who stayed glued to this site might notice that we recently covered the Simpson MS61049 recently. With the slightest bit of investigative comparison, you’ll likely notice that this Simpson MS61043 pressure washer looks strikingly similar.

Well, they are very similar. Both models feature powder-coated steel frames for increased durability. 10″ pneumatic wheels come standard on both models, which helps you move these already-diminutive pressure washers around the yard even more easily.

Both models also come with a 1/4″ x 25′ non-marring, abrasion-resistant MorFlex hose.

However, there are a few differences between the two models that might help you decide on which will better suit your purposes. The most notable difference between the two comes down to the engines. While the MS61049 comes with the Honda engine, this one comes with a Simpson-built 212cc engine. It generates marginally less pressure at 3000 psi, though both models move water at 2.4 gpm.

Both models also feature the maintenance-free OEM Technologies axial cam pump with thermal relief.

Another key difference between the two models revolves around the nozzle tips. Where the MS61049 comes with your standard collection of quick-connect tips, the Simpson MS61043 consolidates all of those into a 5-in-1 nozzle. You still have the option of using 0°, 15°, 25°, 40°, and soap tip settings, but instead of having to keep track of your tips, you just have to twist the tip of your wand to the correct setting.

Pricing

Another key difference between these pressure washer models comes down to price. While the MS61049 retails for $349.98, the Simpson MS61043 gives you a substantial price break at $279.

As far as the warranty goes, this model comes with Simpson’s 2-year limited consumer warranty on the engine. The pump is warrantied for 1 year, while the frame carries a 5-year warranty. Even the accessories are warrantied for 90-days.
