Stihl SE 33 Wet/Dry Vacuum

Stihl Designs a Versatile and Affordable Vacuum

Stihl doesn’t have a super deep line of wet/dry vacuums available. Up until very recently, they’ve had one Pro model (the SE 122) and one designed for consumer applications (the SE 62). However, as we’ve found out recently, the line is soon to expand. The Stihl SE 33 Wet Dry joins the lineup as an entry-level model designed for reliable performance in a value-priced package.

What’s the Big Deal?

Despite the fact that the Stihl SE 33 Wet/Dry Vac is aimed at the value-minded consumer, the big deal about the new model is that it features the same motor as the larger-capacity model. That means you’re getting the same suction power as the tried-and-true SE 62, but in a smaller package that’s ideal for taking on a variety of cleaning tasks around the home, office, or shop.

In addition, the Stihl SE 33 Wet Dry Vacuum feature set brings convenience to the job. It has a blower function that opens it up for more applicational flexibility. The rear wheels and front caster wheels give the SE 33 some fluid mobility over carpets, thresholds, and rough floors. It also features a washable PET filter that makes maintenance simple.

The onboard storage streamlines your attachment organization. With the SE 33, Stihl includes a switchable floor nozzle, crevice nozzle with a long metal crevice tool, squeegee floor tool, long brush tool, universal suction nozzle, long brush tool, and car cleaning kit.

Other Stihl Wet Dry Vacuum Features

  • Aluminum vacuum tube
  • Universal nozzle attachment
  • Filter cleaning system
  • Multiple filter system

Side By Side

Since we’ve already mentioned the SE 62 in relation to this smaller model, it seems appropriate to put them up next to each other to see which will work best for you.

At least from a cursory glance, the Stihl SE 33 almost looks like an exact replica of the SE 62. Since the motor is the same between the two models, it stands to reason that you get the same power and performance between the two.

The real differences between the two seem to revolve around the volume. The SE 62 has a couple more gallons worth of holding capacity, along with a longer power cord and suction hose. It does weigh almost 5 lbs. more as well, though with both vacs employing the rear wheel/front caster design, the weight differences might feel negligible once you get working.

Stihl Wet Dry Vacuum Pricing and Availability

While the Stihl SE 33 Wet/Dry Vacuum isn’t quite ready to start rolling off the shelves and into your home or shop, we expect that to change by summertime.

When that happens, you’ll be able to pick up the Stihl SE 33 Wet/Dry Vac from any retailer in the Stihl network, or directly from Stihl itself. It should run you $99.99, and it will come with a 2-year warranty.
