It comes to us as one of the new, redesigned chainsaws that Husqvarna has released for the professional market, although this top-handled model is the first of its line.

What’s The Big Deal?

In the literal sense, the Husqvarna T525 is not a big deal…because it’s a sub-6 lb chainsaw that fits an 8″ – 12″ bar and chain. Dumb observations aside, the talking points surrounding the T525 revolve around its size, weight, ergonomics, and safety features. Husqvarna designed the T525 to be their definitive tree care saw, ideal for pruning and trimming at height.

The size and weight of the new T525 are impressive, but Husqvarna has also employed a user-centric design here. A well-balanced body generates low gyroscopic forces, resulting in less user fatigue. It also features an updated version of Husqvarna’s Autotune feature, which offers a faster calibration time.

The Husqvarna T525 features a belt eyelet for attaching the saw to your climbing harness. It also includes a retained bar nut so that you can make adjustments without having to worry about losing the nut. An auto return stop switch automatically resets the switch to the ON position for an easier startup, while a quick-release air filter cover means that you’ll save some time and frustration when it’s time to clean or change the air filter.

This 27cc chainsaw features the brand’s X-Torq engine, which takes it easy with the emissions while still generating some power. It produces 1.48 hp and 1.28 Nm of torque, resulting in a max power speed of 13,500 RPM. This translates to a chain speed of 59.38 feet per second at max power.
