Makita XCU10 18V Cordless 12-Inch Top Handle Chainsaw

Makita 18V Top Handle Chainsaw Cuts Faster than 22cc Gas Power

The Makita 18V 12-Inch Top Handle Chainsaw has a compact form factor that’s aimed toward Pro arborists and utility tradesmen, but brings cordless convenience to the job. But if cordless power was ever a concern before, Makita claims that the XCU10 actually cuts faster than a 22cc gas chainsaw.
And we believe it. That’s why this model made our Best Chainsaw Reviews list.

Makita XCU10: The Big Deal

The Makita 18V Cordless 12-Inch Top Handle Chainsaw features an outer rotor brushless motor and direct drive system to provide power equivalent to a 22cc gas engine. Makita also claims that this battery-powered design provides cutting speeds up to 20% faster than gas power.

The cordless design not only provides power and speed, but also efficiency. Using a single 18V 4.0Ah battery, Makita claims that the XCU10 can make up to 150 cuts in 2×2 cedar. When you come up on some thicker or harder material, you can engage the Torque Boost Mode only when you need it to generate extra power.
