Exmark Tractus Tires

Exmark Does Away with Flat Tires

A few weeks back, we covered the announcement of eXmark’s 96″ Lazer Z X-Series mower. Well, if you thought that was exciting, we’ve got more good news for you. At GIE this year, eXmark announced a new tire to go with that mower as an optional upgrade. The airless Exmark Tractus Tire eliminates the possibility of flat tires, obviously, but it also comes with some maybe not-so-obvious benefits.

What Exmark Is Saying About the Tractus Tires

The eXmark Tractus didn’t come out of a vacuum but came about as a result of years of research and development, with the company testing both in-house and on the job.

“Offering an airless tire and wheel combination that raises the bar in every area compared to traditional pneumatic tires is a big challenge. Our customers rely on our equipment to perform every day, so we exhaustively tested Tractus in the Exmark test lab, and in real-world conditions.”

-Jamie Briggs, Director of Marketing, eXmark

What To eXpect

The Tractus tire and wheel combination offers a similar ride quality as your standard pneumatic tire. It’s a comfortable ride, but there’s more to it than just that. The tread design offers better traction on a wider range of turf conditions. And, on concrete, you’ll see a whole lot less marking than you would with your standard pneumatic tire.

As Briggs says, “[The Tractus] is a tire and wheel combination that eliminates flat tires, increases traction, and offers longer service life. In use, Tractus also provides more consistent ground pressure with a larger contact patch for reduced turf compaction and a better overall cut quality.”

The eXmark Tractus tire and wheel combo is slated for a release in early 2020, with an initial three versions available as options for the Lazer Z mower. You can learn more about the brand’s line of mowers, as well as the Tractus tire, by clicking here .
