Greenworks 60V Battery Chainsaw

Greenworks 60V Battery Chainsaw

The game of battery-powered outdoor equipment has become a highly competitive contest just in the last few years. Greenworks is one of the brands making it so, and that’s due in part to upgrades it makes to its products. This includes gear like the Greenworks 60V Battery Chainsaw (CS60L810).

Let’s take a closer look at what this tool has to offer.

Greenworks 60V Battery Chainsaw Performance

To start with, it’s important to mention that this chainsaw is for home use. But, as is often the case, users want to have their cake and eat it too. So when they find one of these models, they expect a slightly lower consumer price along with Pro-level performance, a big part of which is power.

Based on the specs and features, the Greenworks 60V battery chainsaw has it.

    CS60L810 Specs

    • Greenworks CS60L810
    • 60V, 8.0Ah battery
    • Brushless motor
    • 20-inch bar
    • Chain speed: 25 m/s (no load)
    • Dry weight: 12.4 lbs

Equipped with a brushless motor, and fueled by a 60V 8.0Ah battery, the CS60L810 may not be as strong as a commercial saw, but it still has a bite. Specifically, we mean how it measures up to a gas equivalent.

Based on Greenworks’ internal testing results, this 3.0kW model cuts faster than a 60cc saw. Furthermore, it puts out an estimated 20% more torque.

As for that 8.0Ah battery, it should give you a no-load chain speed of 25 m/s and up to 200 cuts on a single charge, which Greenworks tells us you can quickly replenish using the rapid charger.

Greenworks Cordless Chainsaw Design

On the design side of things, there are a few elements worth mentioning.

First, the design team appears to have taken steps to make things easier with a side-mounted tensioner and an auto-oiler. What’s more, the latter has a transparent oil fill window.

And this 60V battery chainsaw is something of an achievement for Greenworks. That’s because it’s the first cordless unit with a 20-inch bar designed for the consumer market.

Finally, they gave this model an inertia-activated chain brake.

Greenworks 60V Battery Chainsaw Price

The CS60L810 sells as a kit for $449.99 and includes the tool, an 8.0Ah battery, and a rapid charger. Greenworks backs this package with a limited 4-year tool warranty, as well as a 4-year battery warranty.
