Makita 18V Power Head Offers Versatility

The Makita XUX02 18V Couple Shaft Power Head joins the line of OPE designed to help you “Rule the Outdoors”. This system offers you more versatility with quick and tool-less installation and replacement of attachments, as well as a stable of tool attachments to tackle your standard lawn care applications.

Key Features

Versatility is really the objective with a power head system, and the Makita 18V Couple Shaft Power Head has versatility in spades. It is designed for use with any of the eleven attachments that Makita presently has available. A lever-style lock lets you install and detach attachment heads without the need for extra tools.

The star of the attachment show is a 13″ String Trimmer power head. It features a rapid-load bump and feed trimmer head that loads by just aligning the notches, feeding the string through the head, and twisting the head to wind up the line.

The system also has other tools available as well, like a 20″ Articulating Hedge Trimmer and a 10″ Pole Saw.

The Makita 18V Couple Shaft features a padded loop handle and a hook for a shoulder strap to keep things comfortable. And, like many of the OPE tools Makita has designed lately, this system features the Extreme Protection Technology. This feature improves water and dust resistance by channeling them away from the tool’s vital components.

Pricing and Availabilty

At the time of this writing, there aren’t any concrete details on price available yet. While Makita has announced some of the kit options they will have available, they haven’t given us any info about when the XUX02 will be available or for how much you can expect to pay for it.
