Most meat-eating food lovers would probably agree that grilling is one of God’s greatest gifts to mankind. What’s more, that gift keeps getting better, thanks to modern grills themselves. Indeed, today’s experience is a far cry from an iron grate hovering over a pile of flaming logs or coals. On the contrary, manufacturers are designing equipment that pushes (even eliminates) the boundaries of grilling. A case in point is the Ninja OG700 Woodfire Grill.
Here’s a quick rundown of what it can do.
Ninja Woodfire Grill Performance and Design
In a nutshell, this model is all about options and versatility, starting with the kind of cooking you can do with it. Actually, you’d be accurate in labeling it a culinary Swiss Army knife.
It’s a master grill that can sear and char, a BBQ smoker, and an outdoor air fryer, all in one.
Although it runs on electricity, the Nija OG700 Woodfire Grill relies on burning wood pellets to give the food a distinct smoked taste. This includes the air fryer, too.
That means no charcoal or propane; just a half-cup of pellets and the nearest home receptacle or portable generator.
How Woodfire Technology Works
According to the folks at Ninja, everything centers around a small smoke box situated on the side of the lid. After filling this compartment with a half-cup of Ninja’s pellets, you set the grill to the desired temperature, just like an oven.
As the unit heats, the pellets burn, the smoke from which circulates by way of a convection fan. The ultimate goal here is to merge the clean convenience of electricity with the flavor and finish of woodfire.
And while we haven’t had a chance to test the OG700 for ourselves, we do think the design concept and features show potential and, therefore, are worth a preview. In the meantime, we’ll let you decide whether the team at Ninja hit its mark.
