Affordable Husqvarna Automower 115H Comes To Lowe’s

Entry-Level Husqvarna Automower 115H Makes Robotic Mowers Affordable For Homeowners

Husqvarna recently announced a new product for those of us who aren’t trying to break the bank when buying into a robotic mower platform.  The new Husqvarna Automower 115h, exclusively sold at Lowe’s, tackles the entry-level sphere of the robo mower market. And, what’s more, the cost of the product also comes with professional installation included in the price.

10-Second Summary

  • Husqvarna’s entry-level robotic mower
  • Mows 1/4 acre to 1/2 acre
  • Can mow a variety of grass types, even grasses that flourish from higher cutting heights
  • Can handle slopes up to 17°
  • Equipped with Automower Connect@Home Bluetooth app
  • Installation is included with the $1599 price tag

Husqvarna Automower 115H Features

Husqvarna claims to have targetted the U.S. market with the 115H Automower. It handles mid-sized lawns up to a half an acre, and it’s been designed to handle challenging yards with narrow passages and slopes up to 17°. The 115H can even tackle a variety of different grass types, and for those grass types that flourish when cut higher up the stalk, it has a maximum cutting height of 3.6″.

It also includes the Automower Connect@Home app with Bluetooth connectivity. This allows you to use your smartphone to control, schedule, and monitor the Automower.

The Husqvarna Automower 115H will be available exclusively from Lowe’s, and it will retail for $1599. It seems especially important to note that the sticker price on this mower includes the cost of professional installation by Husqvarna’s network of specially-trained and authorized Automower dealers. When purchased, the nearest Husqvarna dealer will be notified so that they can schedule the installation with you directly.

What Has Husqvarna Said About It?

“Our robotic mowers have been the solution to better lawns and more free time since 1995, but we recognized the need for an entry-level model for the U.S. market that can cut all grass types and offers a seamless one-stop solution for purchase, delivery, and installation by Husqvarna. It has never been easier to achieve a perfectly cut, healthy lawn every day and free up more time to do the other things you like.”

-Earl Bennett, President of Husqvarna North America

What’s The Big Deal?

Obviously, the big talking point with the Husqvarna Automower 115H revolves around its price. For $1599, you get the Automower and the professional installation.

Let’s look at the Stihl iMow RMI 422 P as a point of comparison. This model, which is comparable in size and area coverage, retails for $1300. But, that doesn’t include installation. Stihl does say that you can perform your own installation, but they highly recommend that you let your local dealer handle it…which will run you another $700 for the installation fee. So, Stihl’s financially-accessible homeowner model – which, ironically enough, was Stihl’s answer to Husqvarna’s higher-priced robotic mowers – winds up retailing for $400 more than this new Husqvarna model when all is said and done.

Taking into account the streamlined purchase-to-installation system, the ability to work with different grass types, slope handling, and Bluetooth connectivity, the Husqvarna Automower 115H seems to present a pretty compelling and affordable option for homeowners wanting to get into robotic mowing.
