Greenworks Commercial is at it again with another new mower release. This time, we’re looking at the new GMS 250 Greenworks Commercial Self-Propelled Mower. For landscapers, turf management crews, or lawn care Pros that either have to deal with noise and emissions ordinances, or who just want to make the switch to convenient battery power, Greenworks hopes that this mower provides a cost-effective solution.

10-Second Summary

  • Model Number: GMS 250
  • Brushless engine
  • Push-Button Startup
  • Equipped with Smart Cut technology
  • Dual Port Power Supply
  • Low Noise, Low Maintenance, No Emissions

  • Rear Wheel Drive

What’s The Big Deal?

With the GMS 250, Greenworks is making strides to improve both efficiency and power. It features a 25″ steel cutting deck and a brushless engine. And, it comes equipped with the brand’s Smart Cut technology, which senses the terrain and adjusts the speed to improve both runtime and performance.

It includes a dual port battery terminal as well. It pulls power from the batteries sequentially; when the first battery drains, the mower automatically switches to pulling power from the second so that you can keep mowing without any interruptions.

It features two cutting blades, and it can be set up to mulch the clippings or bag them in the rear. As far as the self-propulsion goes, Greenworks has opted for a rear wheel driving system for easier operation. The GMS 250 also comes with a single lever, 7-position height adjustment that allows for mowing anywhere from 1-3/8″ to 3-3/4″ high.

The 25″ Greenworks Self-Propelled Mower comes with a 2-year warranty on both the batteries and the mower. While the price is still yet to be determined, you can expect this mower to arrive at Greenworks retailers by April 15th.
